The Scout II Illuminated kids globe is the perfect educational globe for kids. Featuring over 4,000 named places and points of interest make this globe great for reference. One feature that sets this globe apart is the detail Waypoint Geographic includes in the topographic features shown in the ocean area. Named places of major ocean features and trenches provides additional details not available on most globes.

The stand is made of a hardened acrylic making it durable for constant use. All around a very good children's globe.

The globes is illuminated via the internal LED bulb when turned on using the inline switch on the cord (not shown). The illumination increases the visibility of the details found on the map in a dark room. In addition when the globe is illuminated it serves as a great background light or night light in any room. Many customers find it useful to add a timer so the globe illuminates at certain times.
